I look at this picture and can remember that new laser smell (and payments!). The beautiful white interior, all the safety features still working, and the pristine vector tray.
Seven years later, we still get together quite often. She still got the moves, but the bulb is starting to dim. You never forget your first.

This was etched on sanded stainless.
This Lionfish was sand-etched with a reusable rubber mask that has 708 closed polylines. I used ground-edged glass that is lit by LED's in the base.
This Lionfish measures 6x6 and is composed of 3 layers of veneer between glass.
Fishing is a big deal at The Retreat.
After so many years, I decided to start painting again. While waiting for my prized shipment from Blick, I designed a rack to keep them organized.
When I started painting again, I couldn't find a paint tray that I liked, so I made my own.
I tend to write lots of stuff down while working at the computer.
This project was my first use of the wooden blinds. A simple puzzle with interlocking pieces.
This project started with the wood. In this case, some old venetian blinds destined for the trash were made of solid wood. They cut excellently on the laser and were also prefinished.
